Where the par and distances on a course tour come from

Every par and every distance on your tour comes off your own scorecard. We never work them out ourselves.

The fourth green at River Ridge, from the air.

Your card is the source

  1. You send a photoOf your scorecard
  2. We copy itHole by hole
  3. It shows on screenPar and distances, every hole

Golfers know their numbers. If the tour says 430 and a regular knows it plays 412, the whole page looks careless.

So the card decides every number, and nothing else does.

No card, no numbers

If we do not have the card figure for a hole, the tour shows no number there.

  • Not a zero
  • Not a dash
  • Not a guess

A blank looks careful. A wrong number does not.

  • Do: Par from your scorecard
  • Do: Distances from your scorecard
  • Leave off: Numbers we worked out ourselves
  • Leave off: Distance to the pin from where a golfer standsThat is a distance app's job

When your card changes

Send us the new card. The tour changes with it, and every hole keeps its own link.

Play hole 11
Hole 11 at River Ridge, from the tee to the green.

If a number looks wrong

  1. Tell us which hole.
  2. We check it against your card.
  3. If we got it wrong, that is our mistake, and we fix it.

After you sign up, you see every hole before your tour goes live. So this is easy to catch early.

Questions this raises

Can members use it to measure distances on the course?

No. It shows each hole and the numbers on your card. It does not know where a golfer is standing.

A few short questions, then a twenty-minute call. We check your course before we talk, and the call opens with what we found. Not every course qualifies.
